Online magazine on culture, art, philosophy, and everyday life. It’s core goal is to challenge and reinvent notions of East. The material is published in English and Russian, with an Arabic version of the platform set to launch later this year.

Our website consists of several sections: “Discussions” features interviews and essays on relevant topics, “Community” serves as a dynamic platform for experimental statements, and the “Artifacts” section presents stories of objects and collections that reflect the multiplicity of the East. “ABC” presents an introduction to the ideas of decolonial theory, “Music” maps local traditions and lesser known genres, and “Books” showcases publication reviews and research recommendations. The “Video” section regularly hosts online premieres of films and video works and “News” keeps readers updated on the latest cultural agendas.

EastEast is a nomadic home, a mixed language, a constellation of trade routes that carry data, ideas, flavors, and materials for constructing the future. Together with artists, designers, scholars, and scientists, we search for particularities and commonalities that make up the magical mosaic of today’s world.
