The curators of the Solidarity is a verb project invite artists, researchers, and collectives to participate in the open call. The residence accepts projects and initiatives in which the Internet is viewed as a space of solidarity, unfolding in local and translocal dimensions, through interconnection of online and offline formats. The deadline is July 1st.
The present and the future depend on collective action, relationships between people, and specific places. Limited mobility has become a global phenomenon and an incentive for reconfiguration and the creation of new alliances. The aim of the open call is to bring solidarity as a core element that can transform existing politics and create a new type of relationship across multiple boundaries.
The residence will last from September 1st to October 1st, 2021. Selected participants will receive grants of 750 euros each. Both new and projects under development, created in the Internet space using analog or any other technologies, are accepted for the competition.
The residency program is sponsored by Akademie Schloss Solitude in collaboration with ARC Bucharest, a project that fosters cultural interaction between artists and researchers from Romania and other countries.
