ArtAsiaPacific Hosts Essay Competition For Aspiring Authors

Participants can send an application until July 15th

The magazine about contemporary art and culture of the Pacific, Southeast Asia, West Asia, and North Africa regions is holding an open call for aspiring authors. Applications are accepted until July 15th.

Participants are expected to submit essays of no more than 1000 words on one of the two topics: “Art and Failure” and “Digital Possibilities.” There must be at least three examples of regional art in the material. The jury will select articles in an engaging style with strong critical arguments that demonstrate a clear understanding of the topic chosen. The finalists' essays will be published in the online version of the magazine. The winner will have the opportunity to work with one of the editors and to be published in the offline format.

Requirements for participants: age under 30 as of September 1, 2021 and no previous publications in ArtAsiaPacific magazine. Send your essay applications to contest@aapmag.com.
