Open Call for Musicians: OneBeat Music Diplomacy Program

OneBeat 15 is now accepting applications from 25 global artists across up to 54 countries and territories for a month-long U.S.-based music exchange in April/May 2025. OneBeat is a pioneering music diplomacy program that brings together musicians from around the world to collaborate on new projects and explore diverse musical traditions. Participants will work together across stylistic and cultural divides to create original music, engage with communities, and develop professional skills. The program includes a 2-3 week residency for developing and rehearsing original material, followed by a 10-14 day tour with performances and community workshops.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Applicants must be 19 or older by the start of the program (April 2025) and 35 or younger at the end of the program (May 2025).

English Proficiency: Basic understanding and conversational skills in English are required.

Musical Background: Musicians from all genres and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This includes traditional/folk, hip hop, experimental, electronic, jazz, classical, sound design, and more.

Social Engagement: Applicants should demonstrate how they have used music to serve their communities or address social issues.

All travel, accommodation, and meal costs will be covered by OneBeat. Fellows will also receive a modest stipend. OneBeat will assist in securing J-1 Visas for participants. Read more about the open call by following the link.
