For the fifth time, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale presents the Début Award, targeting those who are starting their careers in order to celebrate the work and promote the path for new generations in architecture. Both individual and collective applications will be evaluated by an international jury. A group of influential nominators from Portugal and other parts of the world will also suggest practitioners and studios to apply, besides the submissions made by the applicants’ own initiative. The jury will select five finalists who will present their work at a lecture in Lisbon, and one winner will be chosen.

The Début Award is open to architects under 40 or any architecture office with an average age up to 40. Only one submission per applicant is allowed. Each submission should present up to three key projects for the jury's evaluation. The prize will be awarded to one person for individual applications or a studio for collective applications.

The application deadline is until February 24th 2025 at 23:59 Lisbon time. The announcement of finalists will be made by June 24th 2025. The lecture with finalists and the announcement of the winner will take place during the 7th Triennale, from October 2nd to December 8th 2025.

Applications must be submitted digitally through an online form, which will be available on the Triennale's website soon
