
The Sustainable Darkroom and Luovake invite submissions for a night of experimental cinema this May at Kino Aurora, Finland. They are seeking innovative short films that explore the theme of ecology—whether through their materials, concept, or both. This is an opportunity to showcase works that push the boundaries of ecological filmmaking, with a particular focus on radical and thoughtful approaches to the moving image.

Format: 2-hour program with panel discussion

The Sustainable Darkroom explores sustainability within photography, acknowledging analog photography's role in the global ecological crisis. “As we face habitat loss, species extinction, ocean acidification, industrial toxicity, and environmental racism, they must transform material relationships toward sustainable futures”.
