The Swiss Council for Culture Pro Helvetia has announced the start of an art residency program for artists from Russia and Switzerland for 2022. Applications are accepted until March 10th.
The council’s bilateral art residencies are created to encourage cultural exchange and creative cooperation between Switzerland and Russia. Artists and cultural figures from the fields of music, literature, visual arts, interactive media and design, contemporary theater, and dance are invited to participate. The main goals of the residence are to give candidates the opportunity for professional development, help to evolve current and new projects, as well as establish contacts for future cooperation. Pro Helvetia provides an experienced mentor and covers the costs of tickets, accommodation, studio, work supplies, insurance, and a daily subsistence allowance.
To participate in the competition, provide a list of completed projects, a motivation letter, and a special project for the residence. Confident proficiency in a foreign language is required. Applications in English are accepted through a special form.
