The Boghossian Foundation is inviting Lebanese visual artists, filmmakers, and youth literature writers to apply for its Prize program. Established in 1992, the Boghossian Foundation is particularly interested in developmental practices and education, with a focus on fostering intercultural dialogue and supporting artists from various fields. They embrace humanist values, financing social, educational, and artistic projects in Belgium, Lebanon, and Armenia.

The foundation is now accepting applications for three awards: The Visual Arts Prize, the “Cinéma Coup de Cœur” Prize, and the “Littérature Jeunesse” Prize.

The Visual Arts Prize is open to all disciplines including painting, sculpture, photography, design, and illustration. The Prize “Cinéma Coup de Cœur,” in partnership with the 'Liban Cinéma' Foundation, supports Lebanese filmmakers. The Prize “Littérature Jeunesse” (Youth literature) in Arabic is for children aged 8 to 12, and is run in partnership with the Association of Municipal Libraries Assabil.

Winners receive cash prizes and are invited to Artist in Residence stays at the Villa Empain in Brussels. This residency not only provides an opportunity to exercise artistic practice in a workshop setting but also offers visibility in Belgium and an opening to Europe.

The application deadline for all prizes is September 30th, 2024. Interested artists, filmmakers, and authors are encouraged to apply. For more information visit the Boghossian Foundation’s website.
