The Lih Pao Cultural Arts Foundation is now accepting submissions for the 7th Lih Pao Sculpture Biennale Awards. It has already attracted global participation from over 1,152 artists across 63 countries, solidifying its status as an international platform for sculpture art. The submission deadline is September 30th, 2024, with the finalists being announced in November 2024 and the award ceremony scheduled for October 2025.

This competition offers a grand opportunity for artists to showcase their works, collectively exploring the innovation and development of sculpture art. The total prize money has been increased from 80,000 USD in the previous edition to over 160,000 USD this year to encourage more artists to participate. This initiative is guided by the Ministry of Culture and is co-organized with the Italian Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Office. The event also invites collaboration with the Department of Sculpture at National Taiwan University of Arts, the College of Fine Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts, and Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in Japan. This collaboration aims to connect the academic world with diverse perspectives, ensuring the call for entries reaches a global audience and attracts artists worldwide.

The judging panel includes renowned artists such as Jason deCaires Taylor, Takamichi Ito, Izumi Hatano, Lai Chi-Man, and Han Hsu Tung.

Artists aged 18 and above, with works primarily composed of materials suitable for long-term display, are eligible to compete.
