The Global Feminist Pitch 2024 invites aspiring feminist documentary filmmakers from Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and (South) Eastern Europe to apply for the opportunity to create a 15-minute documentary film. This initiative aims to highlight feminist protest culture and foster global feminist solidarity.
The selected filmmakers will receive support from the Global Unit for Feminism and Gender Democracy and Deblokada Production, including workshops and feedback sessions with industry experts. The final films will be part of a film omnibus released globally.
Eligibility Criteria:
— Applicants must be between 25 and 35 years old.
— Applicants should have a feminist background and experience in documentary filmmaking.
— A good command of English and the necessary equipment for filming are required.
