From October 4th through 13th, Yerevan will host a festival for sonic arts and musical experiments. The event will take place across five different locations, including HayArt, HayFilm, and TheOffice.

Thirteen musicians, sound artists, and composers from France, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, and Argentina are coming to Yerevan to collaborate with Armenian artists. They will set up multi-channel installations, host workshops and listening sessions, build an acousmonium, and present performances.

In recent years, Armenia has undergone tremendous geopolitical changes, inevitably leading to new dynamics in the cultural landscape of its capital, Yerevan. These changes bring both challenges and fresh perspectives. The NOPA festival aims to make a strong, lasting contribution to this evolving scene. It will serve as a space for an exciting experience—not only for those interested in music and contemporary art or fascinated by the technical aspects of sound but also for anyone wanting to see Yerevan and its culture from a new, unexpected angle.

The festival will span five different locations, including public spaces where people can participate in three different soundwalks. These walks will encourage both artists and the public to rediscover the city through a sonic lens.
