Onassis AiR Residencies and Fellowships 2025/26

Deadline: March 7th

Onassis AiR announces its new Open Call for the 2025/26 season, offering space and time for arts professionals from diverse geographies and disciplines to deepen their practice through research and process, without the pressure of producing final work.

The 2025/26 programme welcomes applications from artists, curators, artisans, performance artists, choreographers, fashion and costume designers, writers, dramaturgs, architects, filmmakers, sculptors, light and sound designers, and other creative practitioners across all disciplines. The residencies will take place in Athens, Greece, between September 1st, 2025 and July 31st, 2026.

The residencies and fellowships run in three cycles: Fall (September 8th–December 5th, 2025), Spring (February 2nd–April 30th, 2026), and Summer (May 11th–July 31st, 2026).

Four different strands are available (totaling 33 Residencies & Fellowships):

Onassis AiR Extended Research Residencies: three-month artistic residencies.
Onassis AiR Dramaturgy Fellowships: for directors, choreographers, dancers, dramaturgs, authors, playwrights, and other theatre and dance arts practitioners.
Onassis AiR/ONX Fellowships: for the development of new media art and immersive art.
Onassis AiR Technical Residencies: for technical professionals in theatre, dance, music, cinema, and digital productions seeking to enhance their skills.

Participants will join the Onassis AiR Open Days, a series of two-day public events held once per residency cycle. They are also encouraged to contribute to the growing Onassis AiR Community through workshops, in-progress presentations, lectures, screenings, skill-sharing sessions, or other formats of their choice.

Selected participants receive an artist's fee, potential research/production budget, housing, travel to/from Athens, a collective budget for group site visits and research trips, networking opportunities within Athens's art scene, and access to mentoring and audiovisual equipment.
