Furqat Palvan-Zade

Editor-in-chief of EastEast, media scholar and practitioner. Since 2014, he has worked on the syg.ma project, a community-driven publication and an expanding online archive of texts on society and art. In 2023, he started a Ph.D. program at Yale, where he is working on a dissertation on language as infrastructure. His installations and films have been shown at the Shanghai Biennale, the Venice Biennale, the Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile in Hong Kong, among other institutions.
