An open call on the accessibility and openness of digital resources is being held by the online resource Hazine, dedicated to research in West Asia and other regions. They invite archivists, librarians, artists, editors, and anyone interested in sharing their experience on how open access policy has influenced their work. Applications are accepted until May 15th.

“How do you employ open access technologies in building community archives? What is the role of social media in the open access movement? What are the limitations of open access?"—the organizers of the competition hope to receive answers to these and other questions. Hazine's editorial team welcomes articles related to archives and resources from North Africa and West Asia, East and South Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Turkey, and Iran.

A short description of the article (no more than 300 words) in English or Arabic is accepted at hazineblog@gmail.com. Successful candidates will be paid a fee of $100.
