The Prince Claus Fund's first Biennial Symposium promotes South-to-South knowledge exchange and sees culture as a means to foster solidarity and positive societal change. Collaboration and dialogue are crucial for embracing diverse lifestyles and coexisting harmoniously. The Prince Claus Fund Biennial Symposium 2023 aims to build sustainable relationships among cultural innovators and showcase the transformative power of culture.
The symposium’s programme will feature internationally renowned artists and changemakers. Some participants include Channa Daswatte, a leading architect from Sri Lanka; Anomaa Rajakaruna, a renowned filmmaker; Thamotharampillai Sanathanan, an accomplished artist and art historian; Venuri Perera, a choreographer and performance artist; and Hira Nabi, a visual artist and 2020 Prince Claus Laureate from Pakistan. They will discuss topics such as climate, equity, freedom, and the transformative power of culture.
The honorary chair of the Prince Claus Fund’s Board, HRH Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands, will be in conversation with the Biennial Symposium’s artistic director Keng Sen Ong reflecting on the work and legacy of the Fund. See the full program and learn more on princeclausfund.org
