The Casablanca International Biennale, in collaboration with Making Histories Visible, is bringing its program online. The BiC Digital platform concept was developed by Christine Eyene, artistic director of the Biennale, together with associate curators Soukaina Aboulaoula and Cindy Sissokho. The virtual space opened on October 1st and will run until December 12th, until the Biennale resumes its activity in Morocco.
BiC Digital will feature the works of artists participating in the Biennale, talks with Moroccan and international cultural figures, a video program, and a creative laboratory. Online events will be held on the platform every two weeks. For example, on October 15th, there will be a discussion between experts from Casablanca about the impact of the pandemic on the local art community and a presentation of a project by South African sound artist from Paris, Mo Laudi.
