Moving Narratives, a multidisciplinary mentorship program organized in partnership between the Prince Claus Fund and the British Council, has announced its second cycle. This program supports creative practices that aim to make the world more equitable and just by reconsidering historical legacies and exploring emancipatory movements.

Every year, Moving Narratives brings together a cohort of 12 socially and politically engaged mid-career artists and cultural practitioners, working across diverse mediums and approaches. Participants are encouraged to collectively experiment, exchange ideas, and develop artistic strategies that address dominant narratives.

The program includes workshops, reading groups, guest talks, and peer-to-peer review sessions. All these activities are guided by mentors who provide constructive feedback and support to the participants. Most of the activities are held online, with the exception of two in-person Lab Weeks for intensive mentoring sessions.

As an additional benefit, each participant will receive an award of €10,000 to work on the project or body of work outlined in their application. Moreover, the cohort will together create a joint project in the form of a printed publication and an online platform.

Individual artists and cultural practitioners who live and work in eligible countries and have between 7–15 years of relevant professional experience are invited to participate in the program. Applicants need to be able to communicate in English.

You can find a detailed guideline on the “How to Apply” page on the website of Prince Claus Fund.
