Job Vacancy: Assistant Curator at Para Site

Para Site, Hong Kong's leading contemporary art center, is hiring an Assistant Curator to join their team. As one of the oldest and most active independent art institutions in Asia, Para Site produces exhibitions, publications, and educational projects aimed at forging a critical understanding of local and international phenomena in art and society.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Curatorial and Exhibition team, collaborating with external partners to produce Para Site’s on-site and traveling exhibitions, public programs, special events, and publications. This role requires a passion and knowledge of contemporary visual culture, outstanding attention to detail, a drive for collaborative projects, and exceptional communication and organizational skills.

The Assistant Curator will be responsible for managing the budget and schedules of projects, working on educational initiatives, and cultivating engagement between Para Site and the local community.

Applicants should have a four-year university degree in art history, architecture, literature, history, or a related field, high proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English, and a minimum of 3 years experience in arts administration.

Working hours are five full days a week, Monday to Friday, 11 am–7 pm, with additional events on weekday evenings and weekends as necessary.
