Internship at Human Activities: Projects and Communication Assistant

Human Activities is an art institute founded by artist Renzo Martens. The institute aims to prove that art about economic inequality can address inequality in real, material terms, not just symbolically. The work ranges from art and film to ecology and regenerative agriculture. Based in Amsterdam, the institute operates internationally. Together with the Congolese sister organization, le Cercle d’Art des Travailleurs de Plantation Congolaise (CATPC), an ecological, inclusive post-plantation is being developed, inspired, and financed by art.

Together with two Project Coordinators, support will be provided in:

— Coordinating White Cube museum projects
— Liaising with CATPC for international exhibitions and screenings
— Coordinating artists' international travel
— Archiving images, videos, and press articles
— Creating social media content
— Updating websites

Tasks may adjust based on interests and availability.

The ideal candidate has:

— Affinity, connection, or roots with/in Congo, Africa, or the global south
— Enthusiasm for both the tasks and the mission
— Social media savviness
— Excellent command of English, preferably basic level of French
— Living in or within travel distance of Amsterdam
