421 Arts Campus: Open Calls Information Session

September 12th from 19:00 to 21:15 (GST)

An online information session will be held on September 12th, from 19:00 to 21:15 (GST), where the Programs and Community Initiatives Manager, Mays Albaik, will provide details on the open calls for 421’s Artistic Research Grant and the upcoming Residency Program.

The 421 Artistic Research Grant is available to support early-to-mid-career creative practitioners across various disciplines. This grant promotes practice-based research addressing contemporary social issues through an interdisciplinary approach and community involvement. The 2025 edition particularly encourages projects that explore ecological themes and human-nature relationships, although this is not mandatory.

The 421 five-month residency, running from February to June, and July to December 2025, offers space and resources for creative practitioners across various disciplines to engage in social and community-focused experimentation. Open to individuals over 21 who are not currently enrolled in a degree program, the residency provides private studio space, living accommodations for residents not based in Abu Dhabi, travel support, stipends, equipment funding, and a production budget.

The online information session is a valuable opportunity to learn more about these opportunities, ask questions, and understand how to make the most of them. Read more about the event and register on the 421 website.
