8 Contour Biennale
Contour Biennale is a contemporary art event in Mechelen, Belgium, founded in 2003. Its task is to critically reflect on current events in the world through the art of new media. The Biennale is organized by the interdisciplinary art center kunstencentrum nona, which deals with the production and presentation of performing arts, visual arts, and music. Applications for a curator's vacancy are accepted until February 28th.
The 10th Biennale will be held in close collaboration between the curator and the project team, with an emphasis on inclusivity, environmental issues, and fair practice to the widest possible audience. The candidate must be able to determine the concept, describe the content and form of the event, and have management skills; they will have to work on a public program and raise additional funding. The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for autumn 2023, the vacancy assumes employment from June 2021 to December 2023.
