Construction festival returns to Dnipro after a two-year break resulting from the full-scale Russian invasion. The central theme of Construction VIII is Ukrainian Hardcore: Learning from the Grassroots. The festival delves into the concept of "hardcore" in the context of grassroots initiatives. The program encompasses various formats, showcasing collective and individual experiences from the crossroads of activism, volunteering, and culture.
The hardcore of Ukrainian society is made up of grassroots initiatives. They respond to challenges, provide solutions to community issues, and protect shared values and spaces. Construction aims to consolidate and systematize the experiences of grassroots initiatives, DIY movements, and volunteers involved in reconstruction, preserving tangible and intangible heritage, and grassroots activism in both the public sector and culture during wartime.
